As a space professional, you know that Meta, formally known as Facebook, can be an incredibly powerful tool for growing your business.
But it can be challenging to figure out how to leverage it without getting overwhelmed or wasting time and money.
A common bad “strategy” that I see people do is “post as much as possible,” and this is where you will find yourself burnt out quickly.
The most effective way to post on Facebook is to make engaging content and interact with your audience.
After all, this is Facebook's mission: to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together
I found that the best place to do this is in Facebook groups! This strategy has not only saved me a ton of time but also made me a ton of money.
There are two group types that I use (to this day) as a way to engage with potential customers and build relationships while also creating an exclusive private space for my paying customers.
In this blog, I will break down these two groups, how they work, and why they are so effective.
The first group type is a Free Private Meta group open to anyone that fits your targeted audience.
In the free private group, you can share your expertise on topics related to your industry, post updates about your products or services, and even host Q&A sessions or webinars.
The key is ensuring the group's content is always engaging, valuable, and on topic.
You can encourage your group members to post and engage with one another, which will solve three problems.
You no longer have to worry about posting every single day. Once your group grows large enough, your members will create enough content so that you can get away with posting a lot less.
This creates a sense of community among group members and fosters trust between them and yourself which is key to creating sales.
This is a safe space for them to open up about their problems and desires, which allows you to better understand your audience so you can in turn, make a better product/service for them.
Members-only Private Meta groups are different in that they are positioned as an exclusive club that is only accessible to your members.
This allows your members to connect with one another and doubles as a retention tool as well.
In this group, you can share exclusive content, special training, or member-only special deals.
Overall this allows you to stay engaged with your members and create a knit-tight community of evangelized customers.
Big Takeaway: Private Facebook groups - both free and membership-only - are great tools for growing your business if used correctly.
By providing value through meaningful conversations and exclusive content, you can create an engaged community of loyal followers who will become customers down the line and stick around once they do.
With just a little effort, these private Meta groups can help elevate your business in no time!
